High School Shakespeare Festival (Sign-up deadline has passed)
Date and Time: Wednesday, September 29th at 3 pm to Sat Oct 2nd or Sun Oct 3rd
Who: All registered LAU and Williamsburg High School students (maximum of 60 students)
Course Credit: This is a course worth one semester (0.5) of Fine Arts or Elective credit. Students must enroll in SIS to take this course. There is a course limit of 60 students.
Location: SUU Cedar City, Utah (Students are responsible for travel to and from Cedar City)
Food: Meals will be provided beginning with Dinner Wed Night through the hotel breakfast on Sunday.
Details: We will be staying in a hotel within walking distance of the college campus. We will be watching a play each evening, Wed-Sat, at 8 pm and doing workshops throughout the day. Those who prefer to travel home on Saturday will need to indicate that they are leaving on Saturday during the sign-up.
Auditions to Perform: Our team will have 3 students performing monologues and 2 groups of two or three performing at the competition. Students must audition and be selected in order to perform. The auditions and selections will take place the week of July 23rd-July 30th. Students interested in performing must select this in the sign-up in order to be contacted to audition.
Fee: The cost for this course is $500. Pay during registration for the class (non-refundable after Sept 10th). LAU will cover 50% of the tuition for LAU students, making the cost $250 for LAU students.
July 30th is the audition deadline and selection process for Monologue, Duo, and Trio performers.
The registration deadline to attend and the payment deadline is September 10th (no refunds after Sept 10th).
