Announcing New Improvements to Our Math Program

February 8, 2019

Dear Parents,

At Williamsburg, we’re always working to improve our program to meet and exceed your student’s needs. With that in mind, we’re excited to share with you some new improvements to our math courses.

Effective today, we’re implementing enhanced learning sessions for Math Pods during the winter 2019 semester. Students now have the opportunity to meet with a group of two or three tutors, make plans about their upcoming assignments, and discuss important topics for their math classes in small groups. After discussing their assignments with a tutor, students can now choose to work in either Collaboration Rooms (for group work) or Quiet Rooms (for solo work) to complete their math homework, with tutors available throughout to answer any questions they may have.

These enhanced Math Pod sessions are offered during regular class time on alternating days to students’ live classes with mentors. For example, a student enrolled in a class that meets with a mentor on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:00 AM will have access to tutoring sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the same time.

We believe these adjustments will provide students with the extra support and time they need to deepen their understanding of concepts from class and ultimately achieve mastery in math. As always, we welcome your feedback on how we can continue to improve our program.

Warmly,

Anya Yeager
