Weekly Parent Email – March 12, 2021

March 12, 2021

As midterms come to an end, I’m sure your student is more than ready for next week’s Spring Break. I hope this upcoming week is rejuvenating for both you and your student. There will be no update next Friday, but we’ll be back on March 26!

Sincerely,

Pete Jensen

Announcements

2021-22 Registration Opens Soon: Registration for returning families for the upcoming school year opens Monday, March 29! Visit this page to determine which classes your student will need. If you have questions or need help registering, please set up a Zoom meeting with one of our school counselors. For 9th and 11th grade students, email Shauna Larson. For all other grades, please email Kate Chaney.

Register for summer classes: Registration is still open for the 2021 summer semester through Williamsburg Academy! If your student wants to get ahead this summer, we encourage you to check out the list of available summer courses for high school and middle school. You can register for summer courses here. Please note that summer courses are only offered through Williamsburg Academy, but credit is transferable to LAU. Parents are responsible for tuition for all summer classes.

Is your student taking concurrent enrollment classes next year? Students must complete their Dixie State University application to receive the concurrent enrollment credits. Class registration for the 2021-22 school year begins Monday, April 5. Click here to learn more about DSU concurrent enrollment.

6th and 7th-grade parents and students: Please join the LAU school counselors on Friday, March 26, at 10:00 AM MT for our Student Education Plan meeting. They will share counseling resources, class options, and more. We will email a Zoom link and more details closer to the event. A recording of this meeting will be available for those who are unable to attend.

Did your student miss Inspiration Hour last week? Click here to watch Friday’s event with special guest Amberley Snyder. She shared her motivational story about how she’s grown and persevered after a devastating car accident left her paralyzed.
