Weekly Parent Email – October 1, 2021

October 1, 2021

Happy Fall! This week, we’d like to share a Transformational Learning Experience, or TLE, from a student taking our Professional Leadership course.

In my Professional Leadership class this week, we discussed our goals, how they are going, and what TLEs we have experienced recently. We had a journaling exercise where we wrote down something we had learned in the past few months and wrote down a few of our goals. In this, I wrote that I can do and be more than I think in my mind because what I think is often things that bring me down and are negative but really these are lies. I am amazing and beautiful, and I am beyond those negative thoughts that come into my mind. This just made me realize that I need to stop thinking negatively and that I can do anything I put my mind to.”

We love co-creating these transformational learning experiences with our students!

Sincerely,

 Pete Jensen

 Executive Director, LAU
