Weekly Parent Update – December 16, 2022
You did it! The fall semester is complete! Please take time to reflect on the growth your student has experienced since the start of this school year.
The board of directors meets monthly and gets updates on student progress and TLEs. We love hearing these reports because they give us a glimpse of all the great things happening at Leadership Academy of Utah.
From all of us on the LAU Board, we wish you and your family a wonderful winter break! We hope you enjoy it fully and that your students return ready for more transformational learning experiences.
Happy Holidays!
Jana Stout, LAU Board Chair

Announcements
Registration for Davis County Health Department Mental Health Screening for 7th-12th graders is now open: This is an opportunity for youth and parents throughout Davis County to check in with a mental health professional for free. The screening will address social and emotional needs, anxiety, depression, trauma, suicide, and safety concerns. Your student will receive recommendations and resources if follow-up is needed. Screenings will be held at North Davis Junior High from 4:00-7:00 PM. To schedule an appointment, please visit dbhutah.org/screening or call Angie Smith at 801-336-1742.
Please note: The screening is not a full psychological evaluation. A clinical diagnosis will not be made. Parents must be present.
