Weekly Parent Update – March 10, 2023

March 10, 2023

We are excited to announce the selection of Leadership Academy of Utah as the “best online high school in the State of Utah!”

Niche.com selected LAU for its outstanding academic program based on feedback from parents and students. We are grateful for this honor and are thankful to be serving each of our families in new and innovative ways.

At LAU, our program solves the three biggest issues with most schools: Low-quality curriculum, safety concerns, and a lack of flexibility. We solve these issues by:

• Teaching students how to think, not what to think. This practice helps them excel academically and in life.
• Providing fun, engaging at-home learning experiences while training students to stay safe online.
• Easily fitting our program around your child’s other interests and activities.

We want to congratulate LAU students on their hard work thus far in the semester and for completing midterms! This is no small feat. We hope you and your student will take time to rejuvenate and enjoy spring break next week.

Warm Regards,

John Tripp

Executive Director, Leadership Academy of Utah

School Climate Survey: The USBE has invited parents and students to participate in a School Climate Survey. Parents will be sent the survey via email, and students will be invited to take the student survey through an email sent through SIS during the week of March 20. The survey is anonymous, but parents/guardians will be given the option to opt out if desired. Parents can review the Student Survey questions here and are welcome to opt their students out of this survey by filling out this form

Registration for Summit Leadership Adventure: LAU’s preferential registration for the summer Summit Leadership Adventure closes on March 20. After this date, registration will also open up to self-pay students, and getting your student in their preferred session may be more challenging.
