Course Details
LAU is excited to announce that we have once again partnered with Summit Journeys, led by world-renowned adventurer Martin Frey. Summit Journeys will host a Summit Leadership Adventure course for LAU high school students near East Canyon Reservoir on a developed ranch with access to high-quality adventure activities. This will be an excellent opportunity for our current students in grades 9-12 to learn life-changing, character-building, and leadership-developing skills through tailored adventure education.
Registration for Summit Leadership Adventure is now open to the public.
Session 1: May 27-31 (over Memorial Day) - Session is Full
Session 2: June 3-7

How do I register for this event?
To register your LAU student for Summit Leadership Adventure, please contact our Registrar. Registration is first come, first served, so register early!
In your email to our Registrar, please include your student's name and which session they would like to attend. If a section is full, you can add your student to a waitlist.
To register a non-LAU student or self-pay for an additional session, please complete this form.

Will students receive high school credit for attending Summit Leadership Adventure?
All current LAU students in grades 9-12 who participate in one complete session will receive 0.5 Elective credit.
Non-LAU students will not receive credit.

What is the cost?
LAU will cover the cost of one session for students who are currently enrolled at LAU in grades 9-12 for the 2023-24 school year.
For non-LAU students or LAU students who would like to attend more than one session, the cost is $785. Please use this form for self-pay registration.

Can my student who is graduating in May 2024 attend?
Yes. Students on track to graduate in May 2024 are eligible to attend.

Can my student entering grade 9 in fall 2024 attend?
No. This opportunity is strictly for current high school students who have already attended one year of high school at LAU or another school.

How long will registration be open?
Registration is now open and is first come, first served. We anticipate sessions will fill up quickly, so register early to secure your student's spot. If a session is full, your student can be added to the waitlist.

Can non-LAU students attend?
Yes! LAU has opened remaining spots in session 2 for self-pay non-LAU students in grades 9-12. The cost for self-pay is $785. Please use this form for self-pay registration.

What is the cancelation policy?
Due to staffing and other preparations required in advance for this event, self-pay fees are non-refundable.
Please be sure your student plans to attend before registering for Summit Leadership Adventure.

Can I request dietary accommodations?
Food options will be provided for students with basic food allergies as long as this information is provided during registration. Please indicate any known food allergies when registering your student.
Students with unique dietary needs will need to make their own individual accommodations.

What if my child needs special accommodations?
If your student needs special accommodations, please contact the LAU Executive Director, John Tripp, to discuss your student's needs and availability of services.

Can my child bring a service animal?
We are not able to accommodate service animals at this event.
